Built by people who
live this.
Kneel is a relationship app for power exchange, made by the Kneel Team since 2025. It exists because the tools we wanted did not.
Why Kneel exists
Power exchange is a relationship structure, not a kink
Kneel came out of personal experience living in a female-led relationship, and out of the gap that experience kept running into. The apps available treated power exchange as a bedroom activity: a checklist, a scene planner, a novelty. None of them handled the part that actually takes work, which is the daily structure. Who does what. What happens when it slips. How two people stay on the same page over months, not minutes.
So Kneel is built around the ordinary machinery of a dynamic: tasks, rituals, agreements, check-ins, consequences, and a shared record both partners can see. It is gender-neutral, works for D/s, M/s, FLR, findom and other consensual arrangements, and it works solo when you do not have a partner yet.
We are a small independent team. Kneel is funded by the people who use it, through an optional subscription, which is the reason there are no ads and no reason for us to be in the business of selling anything about you. Read the privacy policy for what that means in practice.
Editorial standards
How we write our guides
Everything on the blog and in the feature guide is published by the Kneel Team under these rules.
Sources on clinical claims
When a guide states something about health, psychology, or safety, it cites the study or professional body it came from, listed on the article itself.
Real dates, not refreshed ones
Published and updated dates come from the content's own edit history. We do not bump a date to make an old page look new.
Corrections in place
When we find something wrong or unsupported, we fix the page rather than leaving it up. Guides get re-read as the product and the research change.
Plain language, no judgment
Guides are written for people figuring this out, including beginners. We describe practices without moralizing about them and without pretending every dynamic looks the same.
