Hard Self-Lock
Self-lock with no self-release
Self-locks fail when self-release is one tap away. Hard self-lock removes that escape: the submissive binds the lock to their Dominant's approval at the start, and the only way out is the release request flow or leaving the dynamic. The friction is the point.
When you start a solo lock, toggle 'Require dom approval to unlock' and the self-unlock action disappears. Only your Dominant can release you through the release request flow. If you change your mind, the escape hatch is leaving the dynamic, not tapping a button. Built for the moments when you want the structure to actually hold.

Capabilities
Approval-only release
Flip the toggle when you start the lock. Self-unlock is removed from your chastity tab; release runs through your Dominant.
Release request flow
Send a release request with a reason. Your Dominant approves or denies from their inbox. Standard release request notifications apply.
Same lock surface
Status, countdown, check-ins, and proof requests all behave the same. The only difference is who can end the session.
Escape hatch by design
Leaving the dynamic ends the lock. Intentional friction: backing out costs the dynamic itself, not just the lock.

Role Perspectives
For Submissives
Bind yourself to the lock you actually want.
- Set up a lock you cannot quietly cut short
- Keep the structure honest on hard days
- Hand the release decision to your Dominant from the start
- Standard release request flow if you genuinely need out
For Dominants
Hold the only key, even on self-initiated locks.
- Receive release requests from sub-initiated locks
- Approve or deny with notes through the existing flow
- Trust the lock holds without ad-hoc agreements
- No app-side override; release is yours to give
Use Cases
Solo accountability: a sub locks themselves between dynamics with their keyholder away
Travel: lock starts before a trip; release waits for the Dom on arrival
Streak commitment: bind a long-haul lock so a weak moment cannot end it
Negotiated trust building: prove follow-through on locks you set yourself
